Putting the ‘fun’ back into funerals
Hot on the heels of last month’s news that a Derbyshire based Pentecostal Minister (a.k.a. the ‘Faster Pastor’ ) has founded a business to transport deceased bikers to their graves in motorcycle sidecar hearses comes a similar albeit automotive themed option.
Vic Fearn & Company Ltd, a coffin manufacturer in Nottingham, has begun a line of “crazy coffins”. Their website gallery includes some interesting examples including a builders skip, guitar and skateboard amongst others.
I asked the Company whether they had yet had the opportunity to create either an Audi or Volkswagen themed coffin…but alas, it seems that no-one has at yet decided to take that final step…into the great ever after.
Automotive related coffins they have created include the Rolls Royce coffin (above) and, I am told, they are currently working on a Ferrari.
